when the earth was still cooling and cars still had lanterns on them. Blaupunkt in german means bluedot. Way back then anything that had a distinction of a bluedot was a quality product. And way back then when all the Audi 4000/5000's had OEM blaupunkt radios and cassettes until the bottom fell out of Audi and anything closely related to Audi was poo poo. Blaupunkt has almost everything any other car audio manufacturer has (high-volt pre-outs, MOSFET power supplies, 2ohm capabilty, low heat dissipation etc.) except for the fact Blaupunkt is and will have a hard time getting back the recognition they once had. And because their such a small fry i would be a tad bit concerned if any service issues came up. if you ever do get an amp do look into the 'american' made amplifiers. Their much smoother and less harsh than their japanese counterparts good luck :I have a Pioneer DEH-P3500 with 4X50 mosfet power :2 6 1/2 Infinity Reference series - Front :2 6 3/4 Pioneer 3 ways - Back :No amp, trying to get away with out one. :I know it's cheap/moderate but I'm hoping it is good. :The system cost me about $ 600 CDN incl tax. :Pioneer is supposed to make great decks. :What do you think of Blaupunkt speakers?
